PREMISE

The objective of this site is to provide investors with an overview of asset management alternatives to watch during the secular bear stock market which began in early 2000. The 18 year cycle goes back many years. See table below for the approximate range for the last 5 cycles and probable duration of the current cycle.

The pattern of these long investment cycles tends to show reversal trends from the prior cycle with the magnitude of the reversal being somewhat in proportion ot the magnitude of the prior move in prices.

This analysis, while clean in overall perspective, will upon close review, show a lot of lesser cross-currents in market direction and periods when investments in various categories outperform other categories. For purposes of our screening we look at invesments in the following categores:

• Stock Investments
• Interest Rate Investments (Bonds)
• Material Investments (Oil and Metals)
• Currency Investments

For Hedge Fund Managers we monitor trading/investment programs in all the above categories...with trade durations of various lengths depending on investment sector. Stock Investments are unique in that a very short-term program (3-day duration) is also available to complement the more traditional long-term durations.
